Skips

A Skip occurs when a Wraith experiences an event that does not occur in the present reality.

The Wraith may experience something as though it happened normally, while everyone else experiences reality differently.

For example: A Wraith thats experiencing skips opens a door and walks through it, but suddenly they appear back at the closed door like they never opened it. If someone was watching them, they would just see them bumping into the door. The door opening was a skip in reality.

Skips are a sign that the Wraith's Frequency is becoming dangerously disconnected from reality.

Repeated or severe Skips can indicate that the Wraith's identity is beginning to deteriorate.

Importantly, returning to a low Frequency does not necessarily undo previous instability. A Wraith can remain at a low Frequency while still suffering from the consequences of previous extreme Frequency use.
