The Department of Supernatural Extermination (DOSE) is the world's largest organization dedicated to containing, researching, and eliminating all Requiem-related threats. Founded through a multinational agreement between governments across the globe, DOSE operates beyond the jurisdiction of any single nation, granting it authority to conduct military operations, investigations, and quarantines almost anywhere in the world.

To the general public, DOSE represents humanity's first and last line of defense against Requiem. Its heavily armed personnel are a common sight during Hollow outbreaks, Wraith incidents, and city-wide emergencies, where they operate with military discipline and overwhelming force. DOSE's presence alone often signals that a situation has escalated beyond the capabilities of local authorities.

The organization's responsibilities extend far beyond combat. DOSE conducts raids on Wraith safehouses, dismantles Wager operations, exterminates Hollow nests, investigates Requiem-related phenomena, and arrests or executes individuals involved in illegal Requiem activity. This includes civilians who knowingly shelter Wraiths, traffic Requiem, or aid organizations classified as threats to humanity.

DOSE maintains hundreds of secure facilities across the world. These complexes serve multiple purposes simultaneously, functioning as military bases, research laboratories, prisons, evidence archives, armories, medical centers, and intelligence headquarters. Many of the organization's greatest discoveries and darkest secrets remain hidden within these installations.

Despite its immense influence, DOSE has no publicly known leader. Officially, the organization is directed by a classified governing council whose members remain anonymous. Numerous rumors surround the council's composition, but none have ever been confirmed.

The only public face of the organization is the Lead Spokesperson, an individual responsible for communicating DOSE's official statements, emergency announcements, and public responses. While the spokesperson represents DOSE before the world, they possess no publicly acknowledged authority over its operations. Their identity is currently REDACTED.

To ordinary civilians, DOSE is both respected and feared. While the organization protects humanity from Requiem, its methods are often ruthless, prioritizing containment over individual lives. Entire districts have been quarantined, homes searched without warning, and suspected collaborators arrested without public explanation.

Among Wraiths, DOSE is viewed as one of the greatest enemies.
